Job description
Vertex seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for its Nephrology programs in North/Central Florida. The role involves building relationships with healthcare providers and thought leaders, disseminating clinical information about Vertex compounds, and contributing to medical affairs strategy through field-based scientific engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders and healthcare providers in nephrology
Incorporate scientific engagement model into all HCP interactions and territory planning
Capture and analyze engagement feedback via CRM to inform medical strategy
Present clinical trial information and nominate trial sites to support development efforts
Represent Vertex at medical congresses with abstract coverage and thought leader engagement
Requirements
Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree (Masters, NP, PA minimum)
Minimum 4 years MSL experience in Nephrology or pharma/biotech medical affairs
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory frameworks
Advanced capability to present clinical and scientific information credibly
In-depth understanding of payer landscapes and healthcare economics
Proficiency with CRM systems and data analytics tools
Prior clinical or scientific experience in nephrology preferred
Compensation
$171,300 - $256,900 base
