Veteran Firm Seeking a Senior .NET Application Developer for an Onsite Assignment in Washington, DC

Executive Summary:

HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Senior .NET Application Developer to support the Application Software Development (ASD) Division of the Office of Information Systems (OIS) by building, implementing, and enhancing case and program management applications.

Position Description:

The developer will implement and manage business-aligned IT services, ensuring high-quality, defect-free application platforms that adhere to industry standards. Responsibilities include making system fixes, troubleshooting production issues, collaborating with Business Analysts to formulate IT solutions, and performing proactive application monitoring and system upgrades

Position Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy applications that support users on the case and program management applications.

Provide mentorship and technical advice to a team of Application/Reports/Query developers.

Provide strategic advice to the lead, management, and customers of the OIS.

Implement programming standards that support a secure and defect-free application.

Interact daily with government clients in order to meet the technical requirements for new initiatives.

Work with Quality Assurance / Quality Control teams to insure the application remains secure and defect free.

Define and document processes to be used by all application developers on the team.

Plan, research, and recommend new equipment, software tools, and related technologies.

Use monitoring and performance analysis tools to troubleshoot and isolate application performance issues.

Update system and process documentation, produce user guides, ER diagrams, and SOPs as needed - Including Visio Network design drawings.

Convey technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty.

Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/products.

Coordinate programming activities being conducted by the application development team.

Confer with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing and project design.

Leverage excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop new business process and programming solutions as directed by business and technical stakeholders.

Integrate a variety of diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (15 Years)

Experience developing enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies within a distributed (n-tier) architecture. (15 Years)

Convey technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty (13 Years)

Prepare complex technical documentation (13 Years)

Experience in developing applications using C#, ASP.NET (11 Years)

Experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., Cognos)/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL) (11 Years)

Experience developing enterprise applications that interact with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases (11 Years)

Experience with Visual Studio 2010 and later versions with .Net Framework 2.0-4.6.2 with C# and VB (10 Years)

Candidate should have strong ETL experience in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence platforms (7 Years)

Experience with Databases using ADO.NET (7 Years)

Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Service Oriented Architecture (6 Years)

Experience with any of JIRA/Bugzilla/HP ALM tools (5 Years)

Minimum Education/ Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

The target annual salary is $100,016.00 - $107,160.00.
