Job Details
Title: Network Security Engineer (PaloAlto + Fortinet)
Location: 401 Las Colinas Blvd WBldg, Irving TX
Duration: 24 months
Pay Range: $45 - $55/hr
Mission
Support the SNS Network Firewall organization by designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise firewall solutions. The role focuses on hands‑on execution, troubleshooting, migrations, and acting as a service‑oriented liaison between technical and business teams to ensure secure, reliable network environments.
Must Haves
Strong hands‑on experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls
Firewall troubleshooting across Layer 3–7
Experience with firewall policies, NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and threat prevention controls
Development or automation exposure
Strong verbal and written communication
Proactive, reliable, and deadline‑driven individual contributor
Day to Day
Design, configure, and support Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall solutions
Troubleshoot network, security, and application connectivity issues
Implement firewall changes, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime
Tune firewall rules and threat signatures to reduce false positives
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams
Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Communicate incidents, risks, and remediation plans to stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting enterprise or data center network migrations
Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (Python, Ansible, APIs)
Exposure to cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
