Senior Payroll Specialist
Construction industry client has a new permanent opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist due to growth. Company works throughout the US and they are recognized as an industry leader in their sector. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be part of a larger team dedicated to company wide payroll. Approximate Salary of 90,000 - 110,000 + Bonus - based on experience
Responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Specialist:
Assist leading team processing and reviewing payroll, completing checks, direct deposits, and union allocations
Assist with creating, maintaining and reviews of employee information including compensation, deductions, and status changes
Responsible for retirement contribution processes, including 401(k) and communicating accurate data to financial institutions and third-parties
Handle employment verifications, garnishments, multi-state and local tax requirement to ensure compliance
Assist with payroll tax returns and W-2s
Point of contact for employees for payroll discrepancies, union benefit calculations, tax withholdings, etc.
Assist with improvements to payroll processes, systems, and internal controls
Assist with guidance and mentoring of payroll staff
Ideal Experience for the Senior Payroll Specialist Role:
Bachelor’s Degree a plus
4+ years of high volume payroll experience
Engineering, construction, industrial services, manufacturing, facilities services and/or related industry experience
Union payroll experience
Supervisory a plus
Strong systems experience
