Job Title: Senior Physician Assistant – Urgent Care/Emergency
Location: Folsom/Roseville, CA
Onsite
Schedule: Various schedules, including evenings/weekends as needed
Salary: $175,200 – $264,800/year
Travel: Up to 50%
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostic studies.
Diagnose and treat patients and develop appropriate care plans.
Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, injections, and other department-specific procedures.
Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in the medical record.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and follow-up care.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges when required.
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives.
Mentor and support less experienced Physician Assistants.
Work evenings, weekends, or other schedules based on department needs.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years.
Extensive experience in Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care.
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active California Physician Assistant license required at hire.
Physician Assistant National Certification (NCCPA) required.
National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
