Job description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building a next-generation artifact management platform for internal libraries and build artifacts. This platform is a critical part of OCI’s build, deployment, and security patching workflows across internal service teams.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will help design and build a scalable, highly available, and reliable artifact management system for OCI. You will own key components of systems that manage, migrate, update, replicate, and serve build artifacts at OCI scale. You will work closely with service teams, CI/CD stakeholders, and platform partners to support smooth integration, operational resilience, and long-term scalability.

Qualifications

Proven experience building scalable distributed systems.

Strong background in cloud infrastructure; Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience is a plus.

Experience with CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, build systems, or developer productivity platforms.

Experience with data migration, data consistency, and production rollout strategies.

Strong ownership, technical judgment, collaboration, and mentoring skills.

Internal Responsibilities

As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in developing OCI’s Artifact Management System and migrating artifacts from legacy systems. This role requires strong hands-on engineering depth, sound technical judgment, and the ability to collaborate across teams on complex platform initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

Architecture and Implementation: Design and implement scalable service components capable of handling high request volume, large artifact datasets, and strict availability requirements.

Large-Scale Migration: Contribute to strategies and tooling for migrating large volumes of historical artifacts from legacy systems to the new platform while maintaining data consistency, integrity, and minimal customer impact.

CI/CD Integration: Build and support integrations between the artifact management platform and OCI’s CI/CD workflows and deployment systems.

Technical Ownership: Own key technical areas, participate in design discussions, make well-reasoned implementation decisions, mentor less experienced engineers, and provide high-quality code and design reviews.

Operational Excellence: Contribute to monitoring, alerting, rollout, disaster recovery, and reliability practices to ensure the platform operates safely at OCI scale.

Continuous Improvement: Analyze adoption, usage patterns, performance, and operational gaps, and drive improvements that increase scalability, reliability, and customer experience.
