\ NHow You'll Help Us Connect the World:
\ NReporting to the Sr. Manager of Hardware Engineering, the position will work with a cross-functional team designing stand-alone and embedded power supplies for indoor and outdoor CATV equipment.
\ N Responsible for electrical design from concept through production supporting related component engineering, manufacturing and supply chain activities.
\ N Perform electrical, thermal and DVT measurements at all stages of power supply development.
\ N Responsible for modeling, breadboarding and prototype development.
\ N Responsibilities include sustaining engineering for existing power supplies.
\ N Support manufacturing and supply chain activities for alternate component supplier qualification.
\ N Required Qualifications :\ N Seven or more years of engineering experience designing SMPS using circuit topologies such as Forward, Flyback, Buck, Boost, etc. for applications in challenging environments.
\ N Experience in designingand specifying magnetic components for SMPS designs.
\ N Experience in the design of digital and analog power supply interfaces and controls.
\ N Experience in power supply input and output noise mitigation
\ N In-depth knowledge of discrete semiconductors and passive components.
\ N Knowledge of electricalmodeling and simulation programs.
\ N Familiar with power supply EMC and safety requirements.
\ N You Will Excite Us If You Have:
\ N Knowledge of CATVHFC equipment
\ N Ability to deal effectively with all levels of personnel
\ N Strong verbal and written communication skills.
\ N Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills.
