Job description
Zap Energy in Everett, WA seeks a Senior/Principal Scientist (Theory) to advance Z-pinch physics. You will deploy fluid and kinetic plasma simulations to guide design and operation, addressing fundamental challenges to sustain stable fusion conditions.
You will lead model development for formation and sustainment of the sheared-flow-stabilized Z-pinch, validate against data, and collaborate with experimental teams to influence device design.
