Job description

Cresta unlocks the true potential of the customer experience, turning every conversation into a competitive advantage. Cresta’s unified AI platform combines conversational AI agents, real-time human agent augmentation, and comprehensive conversation intelligence to drive revenue and efficiency gains across every channel. The world’s leading companies, including United Airlines, Cox Communications, and Marriott, use Cresta to power world-class customer experiences every day.

Born from the Stanford AI Lab, Cresta has raised more than $270 million from the world’s leading investors, including a16z, Greylock, and Sequoia. Cresta’s leadership includes some of the leading minds in AI today. Our CEO, Ping Wu , founded and led Google's Contact Center AI and Vertex AI platforms before joining Cresta to build the future of AI-driven customer experiences.

Over the next few years, AI is going to redefine how people all over the world interact with businesses every day. Come build that future at Cresta.

About the role:

At Cresta, AI Builders are how we put the power of AI directly into our customers’ hands. Through these builders, our users can design, configure, test, and deploy AI agents that automate tasks, or AI workflows that augment human agents and make them feel superhuman.

As a Product Designer on AI Builders, you’ll design the tools that make this possible. That means owning the end-to-end experience of how customers build, evaluate, and ship AI — navigating the nuanced interplay between agentic and deterministic workflows, and finding the right balance between the two. You’ll sit at the intersection of LLM capabilities, CX operations, and workflow design, translating powerful AI primitives into builder experiences that real contact center teams (from developers to business operators) can adopt and scale with confidence.

Responsibilities:

You’ll turn the complexity of AI and business logic into builder experiences that feel intuitive and self-serve, for both technical users (developers) and non-technical ones (business operators)

You’ll pair vibe coding/design with your engineer and designer partners to spin off builder concepts and iterate them into polished, production-ready experiences

You’ll partner with PMs and tech leads to define problem spaces, north‑star experiences, and iterative milestones

You’ll run discovery and evaluative research with our users – interviews, workflow walkthroughs, usability tests, and competitive analysis, to understand how they work today and where AI can meaningfully help.

You’ll collaborate closely with PMs, MLEs, FDE/FDPMs, Customer Success, and Marketing teams across the organization.

You’ll advocate for craft – raise the quality bar and help the team develop a shared eye for what great looks like

You’ll have good judgment of when to ship: perfect is the enemy of good

Qualifications We Value:

Education in Design, HCI, Interaction, or 5+ years equivalent industry experience

Experience in designing AI-driven workflows, no-code/low-code/agentic builders, or complex B2B enterprise applications

AI-native working style: comfortable using Claude Code, Cursor, MCP, or similar tools to move faster, prototype deeper, and push beyond what traditional design tooling (Figma) allows

Portfolio showcasing simple and elegant design solutions to complex problems, with a focus on end‑to‑end flows rather than isolated screens

Strong product thinking + a blend of UX disciplines (interaction design, prototyping, visual design, and user research)

Curious, adaptable, and a quick learner who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

We offer a comprehensive and people-first benefits package to support you at work and in life:

Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with plans to fit you and your family

Flexible PTO to take the time you need, when you need it

Paid parental leave for all new parents welcoming a new child

Retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future
