Job description
This position is with our Adhesive Technologies business unit – where we empower our people to transform industries and provide our customers with a competitive advantage through adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.
What you´ll do
Develop and formulate novel electronic materials, including conductive, resistive, and dielectric inks according to defense system requirements in close contact with customers
Optimize and scale ink formulations for different printing techniques and substrates to meet evolving customer and regulatory needs
Plan and execute lab experiments and conduct analytical tests and characterization (e.g., viscosity, rheology, conductivity, adhesion, stability).
Shape product strategy and identify growth opportunities in alignment with strategy, business development, and key account teams
Collaborate with and steer cross-functional team to execute technical strategy at customer, including product launches, complaint management, and new application development: (Sales, KAM, BD, PD, Operations, Lab Technician, etc)
Protect innovations by identifying IP opportunities and filing relevant IP.
What makes you a good fit
Master degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field (PhD preferred)
5 years of relevant work experience in the product development of electronic materials or ink formulation, experience in defense (or space) industry in an asset
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment for material formulation and characterization, experience with printing equipment and processes
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to design and interpret experiments
Experience and maturity with customer interactions. Willingness to travel to customers
Commercial/business development experience is beneficial
US citizenship or green card required
