Senior Product Manager – Brokerage Platform

Reports To: Chief Information Officer

Location: Chicago, IL

Environment: Hybrid

Status: Exempt; Salaried

Who We Are:

Recognized by Gartner in their Modern 4PL Market Guide, Redwood Logistics is at the forefront of industry innovation. Our cutting-edge supply chain technology pairs with the expertise of our brilliant minds to empower logistics execution across North America and Mexico.

Leveraging a comprehensive range of services, data-centric network solutions, and a seamlessly integrated platform, we have established our prominence as a key player in the mid-market segment within the freight tech industry.

Whether you’re just starting your career or are an established professional looking for your next opportunity, Redwood inspires innovation across teams to provide transformative solutions for our customers.

Purpose of Your Work:

As the Senior Product Manager, Brokerage Platform , you will own the brokerage platform capability roadmap and partner closely with Brokerage Operations, Pricing, Engineering, Architecture, and Data Science to translate business priorities into scalable technology capabilities. You will focus on automating workflows, improving margin-related operating drivers, and modernizing how our brokerage teams work every day.

This is a high-visibility role oriented toward business impact and measured by the controllable operating drivers that influence it. You will define what "better" looks like—faster quote-to-book cycles, reduced manual touches, lower operational cost per load, expanded digital engagement with shippers and carriers, and increasingly intelligent pricing and execution workflows—and help drive the investments that get us there.

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

Serve as a strategic technology partner to Brokerage Operations leadership, helping shape the future of the brokerage business by identifying opportunities to modernize capabilities, accelerate automation, and improve financial performance

Champion the evolution of Brokerage's digital experience into a unified, secure, browser-based platform that improves usability, operational efficiency, and scalability

Identify and prioritize opportunities to automate workflows, simplify business processes, reduce manual touches, improve cycle times, and lower cost to serve

Partner with Pricing, Data Science, Engineering, and Architecture to deliver integrated capabilities that strengthen pricing workflows, enable continuous learning from operational outcomes, and align with enterprise technology standards

Define measurable business outcomes for product investments, using data and stakeholder feedback to evaluate success and continuously refine priorities

Influence decisions across a matrixed organization by building alignment, facilitating productive discussions, and balancing short-term operational needs with long-term business capabilities

Continuously evaluate business needs, technology trends, and emerging opportunities to ensure the Brokerage platform remains competitive, scalable, and positioned for future growth

You’ve Got This?

7+ years of Product Management experience leading enterprise software or digital platforms

Track record of delivering business process automation and operational transformation that resulted in measurable business outcomes

Success partnering with Operations leaders in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or similarly complex operational environments

Strong understanding of modern SaaS applications, browser-based platforms, APIs, and enterprise technology ecosystems

Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence peers, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority

Strategic, analytical, and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate research, operational insights, and business data into actionable product decisions

Capable of successfully operating within a highly matrixed organization while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs

Ability to translate business strategy into capability roadmaps, investment priorities, and measurable business outcomes

Forward-looking perspective with the ability to anticipate future business needs and proactively identify technology capabilities that create long-term business value

Skilled in defining success metrics and using data to evaluate product performance and inform future investment decisions

Experience partnering with data science, analytics, or AI-enabled product teams to deliver intelligent business capabilities is preferred

Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Sound judgment in making prioritization decisions that balance immediate business needs with long-term strategic objectives

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
