About Specialty Capital

Specialty Capital was founded just five years ago with a bold idea: to give “debanked” small businesses access to capital that is Simple, Smart, and Reliable.

Today, Specialty Capital is one of the fastest-growing revenue-based finance companies in the U.S., serving thousands of small businesses through a combination of technology, speed, data, and a deeply human approach.

We’re now entering our next chapter, investing heavily in our technology platform, introducing new financial products, expanding internationally starting with Canada, and using AI and automation to fundamentally improve how small-business financing works.

We are profitable, founder-led, and growing rapidly, with a culture built around ownership, speed, accountability, and execution.

About the Role

Specialty Capital is seeking a Senior Product Manager to help build the technology that powers our lending business.

This is a highly hands-on product role for someone who understands that in financial services, the platform itself can be a competitive advantage.

You will own major products and workflows across the financing lifecycle, from application and underwriting through offers, funding, servicing, renewals, and portfolio management.

You’ll work directly with engineering, underwriting, sales, operations, data, and company leadership to identify problems, design solutions, prioritize the roadmap, and ship products that have measurable business impact.

We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution: understanding the business problem in the morning, mapping the workflow in the afternoon, and working with engineers to get it into production.

Responsibilities - What You'll Own

End-to-End Product Development: Own discovery, requirements, prioritization, development, launch, measurement, and iteration for major parts of Specialty Capital's lending platform.

Lending & Underwriting Workflows: Improve how applications move through submission, data collection, underwriting, decisioning, offers, contracts, funding, servicing, and renewals.

Product Roadmap: Help define and prioritize the roadmap based on customer needs, operational bottlenecks, business impact, data, and ROI.

Business-to-Engineering Translation: Work directly with underwriters, sales teams, ISOs, operations, customers, and leadership to turn complex business requirements into clear product specifications that engineering teams can execute.

Data & Decisioning: Use data to identify funnel leakage, operational inefficiencies, conversion opportunities, and product performance. Define KPIs before launch and measure results afterward.

AI & Automation: Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and third-party data to reduce manual work, improve decisioning, accelerate underwriting, and create better customer experiences.

Integrations: Lead product requirements for APIs and integrations with banks, payment providers, data vendors, credit bureaus, and other fintech infrastructure partners.

Prototyping & UX: Use tools such as Figma and modern AI prototyping platforms to rapidly test workflows and product concepts before committing engineering resources.

New Products: Help launch new financial products and capabilities as Specialty Capital expands beyond its core revenue-based financing platform.

International Expansion: Support the product and technology requirements for our expansion into Canada and future markets.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

5+ years of product management experience, preferably in fintech, lending, payments, credit, or financial services.

Experience with MCA, revenue-based financing, SMB lending, or alternative lending is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of lending workflows, including application intake, underwriting, credit decisioning, funding, servicing, and renewals.

Demonstrated experience taking products from problem identification through production launch and iteration.

Comfortable working closely with engineers and discussing APIs, integrations, data structures, system dependencies, and technical tradeoffs.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to make product decisions. SQL experience is a plus.

Experience with Figma, prototyping tools, and modern AI-assisted product-development tools.

Ability to turn ambiguous business problems into structured requirements and actionable product plans.

Comfortable operating in a founder-led, entrepreneurial environment where priorities move quickly and individual ownership is high.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
