Our client is an established power technology company that designs and manufactures innovative power conversion, power supply, power distribution and EMI/EMC solutions for demanding applications worldwide. Its products support mission-critical markets including aerospace, medical, industrial, semiconductor and other high-performance applications.
This is an opportunity to join a technically driven organization where product management works closely with engineering, customers and commercial teams to bring dependable power solutions from concept through development and market delivery.
Position Overview
The Senior Product Management / power Solutions professional Will help drive the development, positioning and commercial success of power technology products. This role is suited to someone who can operate at the intersection of technical product development, customer requirements, engineering and business strategy.
Lead product strategy and lifecycle activities for power technology solutions.
Work closely with engineering to translate customer and market requirements into product priorities.
Understand power conversion, power supplies, power distribution and related technologies.
Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to identify application requirements and product opportunities.
Support product development from concept and requirements through launch and ongoing lifecycle management.
Help evaluate competitive products, market needs, certifications and technical requirements.
Develop and communicate product requirements, priorities and business cases.
Collaborate with sales and commercial teams on product positioning, value propositions and customer opportunities.
Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for product improvement, differentiation and growth.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sales, marketing and leadership.
What We're Looking For
Strong product management experience Within power electronics, power conversion, power supplies, electrical products or a closely related technology environment.
Technical understanding of power electronics and/or electrical power systems.
Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements.
Experience gathering and interpreting customer requirements and translating them into product strategy.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand market opportunity, competition, pricing and product positioning.
Experience working across engineering, sales, operations and other cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a technically complex manufacturing environment.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, Product Management or a related discipline preferred.
Technical / Product Background
The strongest candidates will bring experience with one or more of the following areas:
Power supplies and power conversion
AC/DC and DC/DC power systems
Power distribution and power management
EMI EMC filtering
Power transformers
UPS and related power infrastructure
Mission-critical power applications
Industrial, medical, aerospace/defense or semiconductor applications
Product certification, regulatory or safety requirements
