This is a great opportunity for a strong property accountant who wants more than a traditional month-end role. You’ll work closely with accounting and business leadership, gain exposure across a growing portfolio, and support both existing assets and new development activity.
The company offers a fast-moving, collaborative environment with significant opportunity to take on more responsibility as the platform continues to grow.
What You’ll Do
Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of real estate properties
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Handle month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis
Review property-level operating results and investigate budget-to-actual variances
Partner with property management, asset management, development, and other internal teams
Support annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and new property transitions as the portfolio grows
Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits and tax reporting
Help improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls as the organization continues to scale
Take on additional projects and responsibilities based on interest and experience
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, property accounting, development, or a related environment
Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
Experience managing accounting for multiple properties or entities is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting and property management systems
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and an interest in working cross-functionally with both accounting and operational teams
Why This Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a growing real estate platform at an exciting stage of its development. Rather than being limited to repetitive property accounting, you’ll have visibility into investments, development activity, new projects, and the broader business.
The team is looking for someone who wants to grow with the organization, take ownership, and eventually expand beyond the traditional Senior Property Accountant scope. xzgxqkn
