The Opportunity
Globe Midwest Adjusters International is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Public Adjuster Sales Representative to grow its presence throughout the Chicago market.
Founded in 1924, Globe Midwest represents businesses and property owners following significant property damage and business interruption losses. For more than 100 years, the firm has helped clients navigate complex insurance claims and maximize their recovery following fires, floods, storms, and other major property losses.
This is not an inside sales or account management position. We are looking for a true business development hunter who is comfortable getting into the market, developing relationships, identifying large-loss opportunities, and earning the trust of clients during some of the most difficult moments they will face.
The ideal candidate already understands the Chicago property-loss ecosystem and has established relationships within public adjusting, commercial restoration, commercial real estate, property management, insurance, or a closely related industry.
What You'll Do
Identify and develop new large-loss commercial property and business interruption opportunities throughout the Chicago market
Self-generate the majority of your pipeline through cold calling, in-person solicitation, networking, referrals, and leveraging existing relationships
Respond quickly when significant property losses occur and connect directly with business and property owners
Build trusted relationships with commercial property owners, property managers, insurance professionals, contractors, restoration companies, and other referral partners
Educate prospective clients on the value of professional public-adjusting representation
Conduct in-person prospecting and spend the majority of your time in the field soliciting new losses
Negotiate and secure new client engagements
Maintain relationships with clients and referral partners throughout the sales process
Develop a long-term network capable of generating consistent large-loss opportunities
What We're Looking For
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Experience in public adjusting, large-loss property claims, commercial disaster restoration, or another closely related industry
Proven success personally generating and closing new business
Experience with significant commercial property losses, ideally ranging from $500K to multi-million-dollar claims
Established professional relationships within the greater Chicago market
Strong cold-calling, prospecting, networking, and in-person business development skills
A true hunter mentality with the ability to self-generate the majority of your opportunities
Ability to build trust quickly with clients who may have just experienced a significant or catastrophic property loss
Persistence, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and confidence in highly competitive sales situations
Willingness to spend significant time in the field meeting and closing on prospects and developing relationships
Ability to obtain the required Public Adjuster license if not already licensed
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Chicagoland, southern Wisconsin and Northern Indiana
Especially Strong Backgrounds
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
Public adjusting sales and business development
Commercial large-loss public adjusting
Commercial fire, water, catastrophe, or disaster restoration sales
Commercial board-up or emergency response services
Commercial general contracting or roofing tied to insurance losses
Commercial property insurance with an established book of business
Commercial property management or real estate with extensive Chicago-area relationships
Direct public-adjusting experience is highly preferred, but we are open to exceptional sales
professionals from adjacent industries who possess the relationships, drive, and large-loss experience necessary to succeed.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a W-2, 100% commission-based sales opportunity (uncapped commission) with a recoverable draw . Draw amounts may vary based on experience and existing relationships.
Successful representatives have significant earning potential, with established producers commonly earning $150,000–$200,000+ and substantial upside for top performers (Top producers earn $500K+).
Benefits include:
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Vehicle allowance and gas card
Cell phone stipend
Company-paid assistance with required Public Adjuster licensing and related expenses
Who Will Thrive Here
This opportunity is best suited for an experienced salesperson who wants control over their earning potential and is confident in their ability to create business.
You must be comfortable picking up the phone, getting in the car, building relationships face-to-face, following up persistently, and competing in a crowded field for significant opportunities. Just as importantly, you need the empathy and credibility to earn someone's trust when their business or property has just experienced a devastating loss.
If you have an established Chicago network, a history of generating your own business, and the drive to build a highly lucrative career in large-loss public adjusting, we'd like to hear from you.
