nJob Description

nAECOM is actively seeking a talented Senior Rail Systems / Senior Catenary Engineer for employment within the New England region. Here you will have the opportunity to work side by side with career rail professionals throughout the US. delivering projects for transit clients with a focus on electrification and overhead catenary systems or OCS.

nResponsibilities and typical duties:

nnnBe an integral part of our WORLD CLASS RAIL DESIGN group

n

nnDevelop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications

n

nnPerform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects

n

nnLead major tasks

n

nnEnsure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS)

n

nnServes as a project manager on mid-large size projects

n

nnCoordinates team and provides technical expertise for mid-large size projects

n

nnWill develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications

n

nnLeads technical client relationships related to design, construction and phasing of the work.

n

nnCoordinates with multiple departments related to a projects scope of work.

n

nnMentors staff to develop a team to support work throughout New England and beyond.

n

nnStrong analytical and communication skills

n

nnDevelop and maintain strong client relationships with clients

n

n nQualifications

nMinimum Requirements

nnnBA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

n

nnProfessional Engineer (PE)

n

nnValid US Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must have a Valid Driver's License and pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.

n

n nPreferred Qualifications

nnn10 years' experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power).

n

nn6 years of related experience in railway (overhead catenary systems, traction power, track).

n

nnExperience with AutoCAD, Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or OpenRail

n

nnExperience working with Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, MBTA, or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies

n

nnWork on multiple projects simultaneously

n

nnExcellent written and communication skills

n
