Who You Are

You enjoy working across different areas of the business and are comfortable traveling domestically and internationally as needed.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our growing Account Management team. In this role, you will independently manage key retail accounts, build and strengthen customer relationships, and identify opportunities to drive sales, expand assortments, and grow the business.
You will work closely with customers, senior sales leadership, overseas factories, and cross-functional internal teams throughout all stages of account management and product development. This is a hands‑on role that combines account strategy and business analysis with product development, pricing, customer presentations, and day‑to‑day execution. The ideal candidate is commercially minded, product-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of multiple accounts and initiatives from initial concept through final execution.
Responsibilities
Own and manage key accounts, serving as a primary point of contact and developing strong, long‑term customer relationships
Drive account strategy and identify opportunities to grow sales, expand assortments, and strengthen overall account performance
Lead customer programs and product development initiatives from initial concept and costing through presentation, approval, production, and final execution
Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business, assortment strategy, pricing architecture, competitive landscape, and evolving needs
Develop assortment recommendations and identify white space opportunities based on sales performance, market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, and retailer voids
Analyze sales, inventory, and account performance by customer, category, and classification to identify underperforming areas, uncover growth opportunities, and develop strategies to improve assortments, inventory, and account performance
Independently lead and participate in customer presentations, line reviews, and showroom appointments, presenting product assortments, new concepts, pricing, and program recommendations, with occasional travel required
Prepare for customer meetings and appointments, including inventory lists, presentations, agendas, product and sample organization, and required follow‑up
Partner closely with Design and Product Development to translate customer needs and market opportunities into compelling product concepts and assortments, including prints, patterns, Pantone colors, and seasonal design direction
Provide clear direction throughout product development, including product specifications, functionality, packaging, color, and materials, while managing revisions, approvals, and final submissions
Review product samples and provide actionable feedback to ensure quality, functionality, aesthetics, cost targets, and customer expectations are met
Negotiate with overseas factories to achieve target product costs and align on minimum order quantities, packaging requirements, and other program details while protecting margin and meeting customer objectives
Lead communication and coordination across Sales, Design, Packaging, Product Development, Sourcing, Production, Operations, and overseas factory teams to ensure programs remain on track
Manage pricing strategy and evaluate product costing, retail pricing, and margins to support profitable account growth
Maintain accurate customer account information, product details, pricing, and program updates, including completion and management of item setup forms, new item paperwork, product specifications, and required customer portal documentation
Coordinate product samples and submissions for customer meetings and approvals, including requests, shipments, tracking, and delivery
Run and review inventory lists and allocation reports to support account needs, product availability, order planning, and inventory strategy
Maintain oversight of purchase orders, inventory, production timelines, shipments, and delivery expectations, partnering with Operations and Production to resolve discrepancies, required changes, and potential delivery issues
Proactively identify potential program challenges and customer concerns, develop solutions, and drive issues through resolution while supporting both customer relationships and company objectives
Collaborate with senior sales leadership on account planning, sales goals, growth opportunities, and broader customer strategy
Mentor and support junior account team members, providing direction, delegating responsibilities, and helping ensure accurate and timely execution of account needs
