Senior Sales Executive – Packaging Machinery (Food & Supplements)
Remote (US) | Travel ~25% | Base 60-80K | OTE 175K-250K+ (uncapped)
You already sell packaging machinery. You know the buyers, you speak the language, and you close. What you don't have is a seat at the table where your results build the company.

WHO WE ARE
Ideal Solutions Packaging Systems (IDS) designs fully automated flexible packaging lines (stick pack and premade pouch) for food and supplement manufacturers. We're Solution Architects, not machine sellers: we help manufacturers scale 3–5x without operational chaos. Our engineering is backed by our 30+ years of industry heritage and experience.
We're a lean, founder-led team. You'll be our first senior sales executive and report directly to the CEO.
THE ROLE
You'll own the full sales cycle: open doors in your network, prospect new accounts, qualify, quote, negotiate and close. You'll work existing pipeline and trade show leads, and help us professionalize how IDS sells. Technical engineering support is in-house, so you sell and we back you up.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In your first 6 months: 2+ machines booked and a committed forecast for the next 6 months. We measure results, not activity.
YOU HAVE
- 3+ years selling packaging or processing machinery to food, supplement or CPG manufacturers
- Machinery deals of $250K+ that you personally closed
- Active relationships with buyers and decision-makers in the industry
- A hunter's track record: you've built pipeline, not just inherited it
- Pouch, stick pack or form-fill-seal experience (strong plus)

- You've only managed inbound or existing accounts
- You need a high fixed salary to feel secure
- You want a large company with layers of support
COMPENSATION
- Base: 60-80K
- Commission: 7% of every machine you book, uncapped
- OTE: 175K-250K+ for a top performer
- Our average line is ~250K, so each deal pays you ~$17,500. Ten deals a year puts you near $250K.
