The Role:

Our site inAmbler is seekingaR&D Scientist to join ournew product developmentteam.In this critical role, the R&D scientistisresponsiblefordevelopingcost-effective, safe, and scalable synthetic routes for new chemical products. The ideal candidate willdemonstratecreativity and innovation whilemanagingmultiple projectssimultaneouslyin a fast-pacedenvironment.

WhatYou'llDo:

Synthesize organic ligands, andmain group/organometallic products consisting of phosphorus, silicon, and othermain-group/transition metals;

Quicklyidentifysuitableroutes to newtargets anddeterminefeasibilitywith bench-scale experiments;

Use design of experiment methodologies to effectively and efficiently generate results that lead to valid conclusions;

Understand and optimizekeyreactionparameters to supportprocess development;

Work with process engineers and scientists to support scale-upactivities, whichincludesaddressing reaction kinetics, chemical equilibriums, materials compatibility, thermodynamics, and mixing;

Document experiments and results in an electronic laboratory notebook;

Prepare summary presentations for internal team meetings, business updates,and customers;

Work independentlyand alsocollaborate with peers and on cross-functional teams to achievelong-termprojectobjectives;

What We Seek:

Organometallic/Main-group synthetic chemist with versatile skillset and an ability to learn newchemistriesand methods.

Ph.D. in organometallic/main-group chemistry or related disciplinerequired;

Post doctorate in organometallic chemistry or related discipline preferred;

Strong experience with both classic and modern bench-scale organometallic synthetic chemistry techniques;

Comfort and familiarity with handling air-sensitive materials (i.e.using Schlenk lines and glove boxes);

Experience interpretingcomplexanalytical results, such as NMR, GC, GC-MS, HPLC,etc;

Independent and motivatedteam-player with strong interpersonal skills

Excellentorganizational skills and meticulous documentation habitswith strong attention to detail;

Strong written and oral communication skills with experience presenting results to internal and external stakeholders;

Ability to advance multiple work tasks simultaneously towardscompletinglong-termdeliverableswithinstrictdeadlines;

OutstandingCandidatesWillHave:

Ph.D. in organometallic/main group chemistry with 3+ years of industrial experience in chemical product development or manufacturing;

First-hand experience withchemical scale-up and optimization;

Experience with design of experiment (DOE) statistical methods and tools;

Demonstrated strong safety record and understanding and application of H&S principles in a laboratory environment

* Compensation: $95,000- 120,000 per year with actual pay dependent on candidates' overall skills for the role
