About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Software Architect to join their core technology team in Paarl . Key Responsibilities
Design and define high-level software architecture and technical strategy for complex systems and applications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, resilient, and secure technical solutions.
Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and design patterns across engineering teams.
Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project and business needs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineering teams, guiding them in implementing architectural vision.
Conduct architectural reviews, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure system integrity and performance.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a software architect role.
Proven track record of designing and delivering complex, large-scale software systems.
Deep understanding of software design principles, architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven), and system design.
Proficiency with various programming languages and modern technology stacks.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective services.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and articulate complex concepts clearly.
