Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

What You Get to Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Angular, .NET, and C#.

Build and enhance Angular- and Blazor-based user interface components for enterprise applications.

Develop and consume RESTful APIs and backend services.

Design and implement solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Microsoft Entra ID, and cloud-native architecture patterns.

Help modernize legacy applications using cloud-native and other modern architecture patterns.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that follows software engineering best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with strong ownership and follow-through.

Perform code reviews and contribute to overall engineering quality.

Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, quality assurance professionals, and other engineers to deliver effective solutions.

Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software development lifecycle practices.

Provide production support, including participation in on-call rotations, incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science.

7–9 years of professional software development experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise software applications.

4–6 years of demonstrated expertise in Angular or modern front‑end development and C#/.NET development.

7–9 years of experience developing REST APIs, integrating front-end and back-end components, working with relational databases, and supporting business‑critical production systems.

Experience using AI‑assisted development tools to improve software delivery, code quality, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and engineering productivity.

Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and participating in operational support or on‑call activities.

Ability to lift 20 pounds from floor to waist.

Skills That Set You Apart

Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.

Experience in industrial settings or with mission‑critical applications.

Understanding of pipeline business processes.

Experience modernizing legacy applications.

Experience with GitHub and CI/CD practices.

Experience with authentication and authorization technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID.

Experience supporting enterprise transactional or logistics‑related systems.

Experience with SQL Server and Oracle database platforms.

Strength in full‑stack development, API development, DevOps, database querying and management, scripting, graphical user interface development, and cloud data management.

Effective communication, teamwork, prioritization, documentation, requirements management, customer collaboration, independence, and self‑management.
