Senior Software Engineer
Location: Birmingham, AL (Hybrid)
Job Summary
Moultrie is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Azure and Microsoft development technologies. This role requires full‑stack expertise, working across the database, backend, and mobile layers to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.
As a key member of the engineering team, you’ll collaborate closely with product development and other software teams to bring business visions to life and ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Job Responsibilities
Working as a cross‑functional developer to build both mobile and back‑end features
Deliver high quality multi‑platform projects using Microsoft development technologies
Demonstrate highly effective approaches to object‑oriented software development based on industry’s best practices
Build, test, maintain scalable, secure, testable code
Mentor new and junior team members
Monitor crash reports, identify root causes and implement fixes
Be an active participant in SCRUM ceremonies to drive technical conversations and reduce ambiguity to drive accurate estimates
Write and maintain unit tests
Works well independently
Medium to Large workload items
Is a service owner for a piece of the system and reports on its health and provides information if adjustments needs to be made.
Provides production support as needed during off hours for team's area of Moultrie
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent years of work experience
Has led / owned projects that delivered value to their users or their business
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the following:
.NET Framework and/or .NET Core
SQL Server
Entity Framework
Source Control
Unit Testing
CI/CD practicesMicroservices
Mobile, Web, and/or REST API development
