Senior Software Engineer – Champaign, IL – Up to $350K Base (DOE)
Associate Consultant at Saragossa – creating competitive advantage for investment technology organizations.
Do you want to get your foot in the door at a Hedge Fund? You’ll be working for a software consultancy engaged to build software for a global Hedge Fund – including the front office trading teams.
Overview
We’re building a new team that works directly with the CTO. The CTO is already established in the UK and we are launching the US expansion. With a goal of 20 staff by the end of the year, you’ll be an early member of the team and influence future directions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance trading systems in Java.
Collaborate with front‑office traders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in code review, performance tuning, and best‑practice implementation.
Help scale the operation to support 20 staff by the end of the year and influence future directions.
Qualifications
Mid‑Senior level with solid Java experience in a complex environment.
Experience with Calypso or similar front‑office trading platforms is a plus but not required.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Self‑motivated and comfortable in an early‑stage, growth‑stage environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation will be based on experience and will include a competitive base salary, performance bonuses, and equity.
