Job description
The HT Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join a client team in Kountze, TX.

Position Overview:
• Employment Type: Contract to Hire / Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $50-$60k / $24-$29hr DOE
• Dress Code: Business casual / professional
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the complete month-end close cycle, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement delivery.
• Administer and maintain the Tyler Technologies financial platform, ensuring data integrity across general ledger, AP/AR, and owner records.
• Guide daily operational spending and intercompany transfers using current budget-to-actual data, cash positions, and reserve fund status.
• Directly supervise office staff, overseeing daily tasks, training, performance, and workflow efficiency.
• Prepare board packets, financial summaries, and variance reports, and collaborate with the Board and outside accountants.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent), with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience—ideally within an HOA, property management, or municipal environment.
• Technical Skills: Direct experience with Tyler Technologies (or comparable platform) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. xhqgsiq
