CNC Programmer at ZooxAs a CNC Programmer at Zoox, you'll interface with a broad range of Engineers and Craftspeople to build hardware systems for our Vehicle, Compute, Sensor, and testing fleets. If this sounds like the position you're looking for, we look forward to meeting you.In this role, you will:Manufacture parts from one-off prototypes to short-run production in a variety of materialsProgram 5-axis CNC machines using HyperMILLDesign and machining of fixtures to hold components during machining operationsSetup and teardown of CNC machinesInterface with people across the company to acquire the correct set of data needed to make componentsAssist in ordering materials and tools for the machine shopDevelop and maintaining digital tooling and work holding databasesWork with engineering teams to provide DFM feedback for machined componentsQualificationsExtensive experience as a 5-axis CNC mill machinist10+ years of experience as a CNC programmer using state-of-the-art CAM systems with 3D simulation and collision detection capabilitiesFamiliarity with Heidenhain and Siemens CNC controlsStrong CAD skillsUnderstand and interpret GD&T and dimensional drawingsAbility to troubleshoot and provide solutions to challenging problemsBonus QualificationsSpecific experience with HyperMILL CAM softwareKnowledge of JIRA, Solidworks, CATIA, 3DX, ENOVIAFamiliarity with CNC turning machines, tooling, and processesExperience with Esprit CAM software$66 - $84 an hour There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
