About the role
Sr. Substation Project Engineer for a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). This role involves leading and managing renewable generation substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning.
Location: Remote position with some travel. Travel between worksites and other locations is an essential job function. Must hold a valid driver\u2019s license.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.
Identify challenges, measures, and validate results, and implement solutions.
Provide information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues.
Competitively source, select and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services, and support the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.
Qualifications
Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineering
6+ years of experience in substation design and engineering of high-voltage substation projects
Project engineering or project management experience
PMP or P.E. in related discipline is helpful
Some travel required within North America

Base hourly wage: $55.00-$60.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
