Job description
Senior Supervisor, Laboratory Services
This is a clinical laboratory technician position which may be required to travel to the main hospital and other University sites for tissue processing. This position serves the patient by providing precise and accurate laboratory results for the purpose of infertility assessment and management. The technician is responsible for performing andrology laboratory services in accordance with established procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities
1. checks in patients for scheduled appointments
2. performs semen diagnostic tests, report and record results
3. evaluates sperm morphology
4. cryopreservation of sperm
5. assists with other laboratory and clinical duties as assigned

Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required:
Nearly Continuously: Laboratoryenvironment.Often: Infectious disease, oils (there is air orskin exposure to oils or other cutting fluids), hazards(includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximityto moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current,working on scaffolding and high places, or exposure tochemicals)).
Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously:Hearing, listening, talking.Often: Repetitive hand motion (such astyping), walking, standing, sitting.Seldom: Bending, reachingoverhead.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience(Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related workexperience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following joblevels:
Senior Supervisor, Laboratory Services: Requires abachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (orequivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Previous work experience in a clinical laboratory is desired.
Ability to pay attention to detail.
Ability to access, input and retrieve information from acomputer.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge of office procedures and machines.
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
