APT Research is hiring a Senior Systems Safety Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. This position will be performed off-site with the requirement to be on-site for customer meetings.

Responsibilities
Experience implementing system safety/software safety processes and methodologies
Working knowledge of MIL-STD-882 (series); during design, development, use, and maintenance of safety-critical software systems and their integration with safety-critical hardware systems.
Able to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
Able to create briefings in PowerPoint and brief to a technical audience.
Ability to analyze, research, assess, and organize technical data into cohesive and clear technical reports and presentations
Must be able to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
Extensive experience in systems safety, with a proven track record of successfully mitigating hazards in complex systems.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited institution and 12+ years' of experience in system
Safety engineering
Security Clearance Requirement
Must have a SECRET level clearance or higher
This Position is Contingent Upon Contract Funding

Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U.S.) Physical Requirements
