Overview In this role you will develop and execute MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs for complex defense systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customer safety representatives to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls. You will oversee lifecycle safety from startup to disposal, and communicate results through reports and reviews. This position offers high-impact work within a mission-driven environment aimed at protecting people and hardware. You will work onsite in McKinney, TX, supporting safety across product lifecycles and special programs.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and analyses
Conduct hazard and design analyses to verify compliance with requirements and standards
Coordinate with customer safety representatives and Safety Review Board for safety approvals
Lead System Safety Working Groups with Raytheon and customers
Collaborate across Systems Engineering, Software/Firmware, Electrical, and Hardware teams to mitigate hazards
Support safety across program lifecycle from startup to disposal
Prepare internal and customer-facing safety reports and briefings
Operate in Special Access Program environments as required
Key requirementsDegree in STEM and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Experience with System Safety and/or Software Safety Engineering
Experience evaluating complex systems for risk
