About the Opportunity
Our client is a Top-25 middle-market professional services firm with more than 50 years of history and over 3,000 professionals across the United States. Originally established on the East Coast, the firm is now expanding its presence in the Chicago market and is looking to add a Tax Senior to its growing Lincolnshire team.
This is a unique opportunity to join an established national firm while still being early enough in the Chicago expansion to have a meaningful role in the growth of the local office. The team is looking for someone who wants to continue developing their technical skills, take on greater responsibility, and build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.
What You'll Do
Prepare and review complex individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns
Take a lead role throughout the tax engagement process, from planning through completion
Research and assist with complex tax matters and develop thoughtful solutions for clients
Identify tax planning opportunities and help clients minimize or defer tax liabilities
Work directly with clients and build strong, long-term relationships
Manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines throughout the year
Review work prepared by more junior team members and provide guidance and feedback
Collaborate closely with Managers, Partners, and other members of the Tax team
Continue developing your technical expertise through exposure to a variety of clients and tax matters
Contribute to the growth and development of the Chicago office as the local team expands

What We're Looking For
3+ years of tax experience within a public accounting environment
Strong experience preparing and/or reviewing individual, partnership, and/or corporate tax returns
CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification preferred
Strong technical tax and research skills
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Experience reviewing work and providing guidance to staff
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
A proactive, curious mindset with a genuine interest in learning and taking on new challenges
