As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will lead traffic analyses and studies that support transportation planning and design projects across the Carolinas. You will work closely with transportation planners and engineers to deliver technically sound solutions that improve safety, operations, and mobility.**What You’ll Do*** Lead traffic impact studies, operational analyses, and corridor studies* Prepare traffic forecasts, modeling, and technical reports* Collaborate with transportation planners and design teams on integrated solutions* Support agency coordination and technical reviews* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior traffic engineers# **Qualifications****Required*** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline* Professional Engineer (PE) license* 6+ years of traffic engineering experience**Preferred*** Experience supporting DOT or public-sector transportation projects* Background in multimodal or corridor-level studies# **About Freese and Nichols**At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (**L**earn continuously, **E**ngage as family, **A**ct with integrity, **D**eliver quality, and **S**erve always).
