We’re looking for a Senior VDC Specialist/Process/Hygienic to join our BIM/VDC team and take a leading role in the successful delivery of complex industrial projects.

This is more than a design role. As a Senior VDC Specialist, you’ll serve as a primary VDC resource on assigned projects—leading project setup, coordinating models, managing clash detection, supporting project schedules, and guiding the work of other designers and third-party resources.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Prefabrication, Field Operations, VDC leadership, and design teams to identify issues early and keep projects moving.
What You’ll Do
Lead VDC activities for assigned Process/Hygienic projects
Set up and maintain Plant 3D and Navisworks project environments
Lead internal BIM coordination and clash detection
Maintain project models and coordinate with other trades
Develop design schedules, milestones, and 3-week look-aheads
Assign and review work completed by support designers
Coordinate with third-party design resources when needed
Identify potential design and schedule issues before they impact construction
Support RFI coordination and provide the project team with information needed to keep work moving
Partner closely with Project Managers and the Prefab Manager
Lead BIM/coordination meetings when required
Provide technical guidance, feedback, and support to other designers
What You Bring
5+ years of Process/Hygienic design experience — life sciences experience preferred
Strong Plant 3D and ISO Gen skills
Proficiency with Navisworks 2020 or newer
Experience with Bluebeam
AutoCAD and Revit experience is a plus
Strong Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook skills
Experience leading or coordinating a collaborative design team
Ability to work effectively with both field and office teams
Design Assist experience is a major plus
Central NC location is preferred; remote experience is a plus for candidates outside the area
