About the Company
We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President – Construction Operations for a well-established South Florida commercial general contractor .

This is a senior executive leadership opportunity for a construction professional who has successfully led large project teams, developed operational leaders, and provided oversight across a diverse portfolio of complex commercial construction projects.
The company delivers projects across multifamily, healthcare, senior living, education, municipal/public-sector, commercial, and mixed-use construction.
Candidates must have executive-level leadership experience working directly for a commercial general contractor. Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily with developers, owners/owner’s representatives, subcontractors, specialty contractors, facilities organizations, corporate real estate teams, or residential homebuilders will not be considered unless they also bring substantial senior leadership experience directly within a commercial GC.
We are particularly interested in executives who can demonstrate strong career progression, stability, and meaningful tenure with their organizations, rather than frequent moves between companies.
About the Role
The Senior Vice President – Construction Operations will provide executive-level oversight across multiple active projects and operational teams while working closely with company leadership on performance, staffing, risk, client relationships, and long-term growth.
This individual will be responsible for leading senior construction professionals, strengthening operational consistency, developing future leaders, and helping ensure projects are delivered successfully across the organization.
Responsibilities
Provide executive oversight across multiple active construction projects and project teams
Lead, mentor, and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and other operational leaders
Drive accountability around schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction
Review project performance, forecasting, staffing, risk, and profitability
Partner closely with preconstruction, estimating, finance, and executive leadership
Strengthen operational processes, standards, and consistency across project teams
Support major client relationships and high-level project strategy
Recruit, mentor, and retain strong construction leadership talent
Develop future operational leaders and succession within the organization
Contribute to the continued growth and long-term direction of the company
Qualifications
Executive-level construction operations experience directly with a commercial general contractor is required
Current or previous experience at the Vice President, Senior Vice President, Regional Vice President, Division Leader, Director of Operations, or comparable senior leadership level
Demonstrated progression into positions with responsibility for multiple project teams, senior leaders, and significant construction volume
Proven experience leading Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field operations
Strong career stability and a track record of meaningful tenure with previous organizations
Florida construction experience required
Required Experience
Proven experience overseeing multiple project teams and senior construction leaders
Strong background in ground-up commercial construction and major renovation projects
Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
Multifamily
Healthcare
Senior living
Education
Municipal / public-sector
Commercial
Mixed-use
Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, contracts, scheduling, staffing, subcontractor management, and risk management
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, and Superintendents
Strong client-facing and executive communication skills

Leadership Profile
We are looking for someone who understands both the business and operational sides of construction. The right individual will be comfortable working directly with executive leadership while remaining close enough to operations to understand what is happening across projects, teams, and client relationships.
