ElmCityCommunities(ECC),theHousingAuthorityoftheCityofNewHaven ,isseekinganaccomplishedSeniorVicePresidentofFinance,IT&Procurement toprovideexecutiveleadershipacrossfinance,accounting,informationtechnology,procurement,compliance,audit,andlong-rangefinancialplanning.
ThisisahighlyvisibleexecutiveopportunityforanexperiencedCFO,SeniorVicePresidentofFinance,VicePresidentofFinance,DeputyCFO,Controller,orseniorfinancialexecutive whohassuccessfullyledcomplexfinancialoperationsandisreadytousethatexpertisetosupportaffordablehousingandcommunitydevelopment.
ReportingdirectlytothePresident,theSVPwillserveasakeymemberoftheexecutiveleadershipteamandastrategicadvisoronfinancialperformance,organizationalsustainability,technology,risk,compliance,procurement,andinvestment.
TheOpportunity
TheSeniorVicePresidentofFinance,IT&ProcurementwillleadthefinancialinfrastructuresupportingElmCityCommunities'affordablehousingportfolio,operations,developmentactivity,andlong-termstrategicpriorities.
TheSVPwilloverseeenterprisefinanceandaccounting,budgeting,forecasting,auditandinternalcontrols,procurement,informationtechnology,financialsystems,regulatorycompliance,andcapitalplanning.
Thisexecutivewillalsopartnercloselywithorganizationalleadershiponaffordablehousingdevelopment,propertyandassetmanagement,LIHTCandmixed-financetransactions,HUDrequirements,capitalinvestments,andenterprisemodernization.
Thesuccessfulcandidatewillcombinethetechnicaldepthofanaccomplishedfinanceexecutivewiththeleadershipskillsnecessarytodevelopteams,modernizesystems,communicatecomplexfinancialinformation,andhelpguideenterprise-leveldecision-making.
KeyResponsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for all finance,accounting,budgeting,forecasting,treasury,financialreporting,andfiscaloperations .
AdvisethePresidentandexecutiveleadershiponfinancialstrategy,organizationalperformance,risk,investment,andlong-termsustainability.
Leadannualoperating,capital,development,andpropertymanagementbudgetingprocesses.
Developfinancialforecastsandanalysesthatsupportexecutivedecision-makingandstrategicplanning.
Establishandmaintainstrongfinancialcontrols,policies,procedures,andaccountabilitysystems.
Presentfinancialperformance,risks,forecasts,andrecommendationstoexecutiveleadership,boards,regulators,auditors,andexternalstakeholders.
Accounting,Audit,Risk&Compliance
Overseefinancialreporting,generalaccounting,internalcontrols,auditpreparation,andregulatorycompliance.
EnsurefinancialoperationsmeetapplicableHUD,federal,state,local,andorganizationalrequirements .
Serveasaprimaryliaisontoindependentauditorsandotherfinancialandregulatorypartners.
Strengthenorganizationalprocessesrelatedtoauditreadiness,riskmanagement,financialcontrols,andcompliance.
Ensuretimelyandaccuratepreparationoffinancialstatements,budgets,managementreports,andregulatoryfilings.
AffordableHousing&RealEstateFinance
Providefinancialleadershipsupportingaffordablehousingdevelopment,propertymanagement,assetmanagement,andcapitalimprovementinitiatives .
PartnerwithdevelopmentandexecutiveleadershiponLIHTC,mixed-financetransactions,bondfinancing,capitalstructures,anddevelopment-relatedfinancialanalysis .
SupportfinancialplanningassociatedwithHUDprograms,MTWinitiatives,andotherpublicandprivatefundingsources.
Evaluatefinancialimplicationsofdevelopmentopportunities,investments,partnerships,andportfoliostrategies.
InformationTechnology&FinancialSystems
Provideexecutiveoversightoftheorganization'sinformationtechnologystrategy,financialsystems,enterpriseplatforms,datainfrastructure,andcybersecuritypriorities .
LeadorsupportmodernizationofERP,accounting,financialreporting,andpropertymanagementsystems.
