Job description

Senior Maintenance WelderMartin Marietta is seeking a Senior Maintenance Welder to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently repairing and maintaining plant industrial equipment and machinery. The Senior maintenance welder will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of equipment to include conveyor systems, shakers, gearboxes, fixed plant equipment, and other mobile equipment as necessary.Raleigh DistrictHours: 6:30AM - 4:30PM, weekends as necessaryA typical day for a Senior Maintenance Welder may include:Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all plant equipment often in out of position weldingMaximizing performance of equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basisPerforming fabrication, erection of processing equipment and repairs to processing equipment and mobile equipmentCompleting daily pre and post inspection of working areaOperating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as neededMentoring, training and providing technical advice to less experienced staff regarding maintenance repairs, welding and safety proceduresPerforming other duties as assigned by supervisorYou may be a good fit if you:Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this positionHave three (3) years of experience in welding and maintenanceA member of the S&P 500 Index, Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials – including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt.
