Job description
Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Senior Wood Scientist-Chemist to drive innovation in sustainable, high-performance wood products for our North American manufacturing operations. In this role, you will lead R&D on wood chemistry, adhesives, and product durability, designing and executing experiments, analyzing performance data, and translating lab insights into mill-ready solutions. You’ll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product reliability, optimize processes, and support new product introductions. You will mentor junior scientists, uphold rigorous safety and lab standards, and contribute to Weyerhaeuser’s mission of sustainable forestry and responsible materials innovation.
