Job description
Senior Word ProcessorLight typing, faxing, copying, and filing.Operate a computer terminal, personal computer.Maintain records (stored both manually and electronically)Assist preparing case files for shipment to FRC and in closing and packaging files for shipment to Federal Records CenterRequired:Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.At least two (2) years of word processing experience, including one year in the specific office automation environment required (e.g., JCON 2a, Microsoft Office).High school diploma or GED required.Demonstrated experience working in a high volume workload setting with ability to complete tasks within specified time frame.Excellent oral and written communication skills required.Ability to produce highest quality work under extreme pressure very important.Skilled in operating a computer terminal, personal computer.Requires ability to frequently move, sort, and file physical case files, folders and documents.Preferred:Prior Experience assisting with managing file room helpfulPrior experience working in a legal office valued.Basic understanding of court docket extremely helpful.Work Environment:This position is generally sedentary and is performed in an open office environment with a large personal desk spaceEmployees will earn H&W dollars per eligible hour (including vacation and holiday up to 40 hours/week). H&W monies are used to offset the employer's cost of benefits the employee elects into and/or utilizes. Any remaining health and welfare monies after all applicable deductions would be cashed out to the employee on a 1 pay period lag.This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act.
