We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping an at-risk population receive the treatment necessary for success on their road back to a healthy, productive life.Pay: $25.26 per hourWork schedule: Full-Time, VariesBenefit package includes:Medical, vision, and prescription drug benefitsDental benefitsLife insuranceAccidental death and dismemberment insuranceShort-term and long-term disability benefits401(k) retirement planEmployee assistance programPaid time off (PTO)Paid holidaysBereavement leaveCivic duty and military leaveEssential Duties:Supervise, protect, instruct, train, counsel and evaluate assigned employeesResponsible for the care, custody, and adherence to rules and regulations of inmates assigned to specific work areaSupervisor and direct searches for contraband and provide securitySupervise and provide custody and security of inmates including observation of inmates and inmates assigned to work dutyRead, review and properly apply information found in inmate records which is related to the inmates' health and safety and to the security of the facility. Provide appropriate information to other personnelSupervise the preparation and maintenance of records, forms and reportsPerform specific duties if assigned to the following areas; unit, safety, disciplinary, special management area, and intakePromote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniquesMaintain accountability of staff, inmates and property; adhere to safety practicesEducation and Experience Requirements:High school or equivalent (GED) and one (1) year correctional experience required.A valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.Post Hire RequirementsMust successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
