Job description
Bowser Chevrolet of Chippewa is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience throughout the service process-from greeting customers and identifying their vehicle needs to coordinating repairs and delivering the vehicle upon completion.
nThe ideal candidate will have automotive service or dealership experience, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to explain repair recommendations clearly and professionally. Sales experience is a plus.
nResponsibilities
nnGreet customers promptly and professionally and obtain accurate vehicle and customer information.
nListen to customers' concerns and clearly document the general nature of their automotive needs.
nConduct or assist with vehicle walk-arounds and test drives as needed to identify additional service or repair needs.
nCommunicate recommended repairs and maintenance to customers in a clear and professional manner.
nPrepare and present repair estimates, including anticipated completion times.
nObtain customer authorization for recommended repairs.
nVerify the customer's intended method of payment.
nMaintain regular communication with technicians throughout the repair process.
nMonitor the status of customer vehicles and communicate updates as appropriate.
nAdminister applicable manufacturer and other warranties in accordance with company and warranty requirements.
nNotify customers when repairs are completed.
nReview completed repairs and services with customers at vehicle delivery.
nMaintain a high level of customer satisfaction and work toward achieving strong CSI results.
nFollow all Bowser Automotive safety policies and procedures.
n nQualifications
nnHigh school diploma or equivalent.
nPrevious experience in an automobile dealership or independent automotive repair facility preferred.
nGM Service Advisor experience preferred.
nStrong customer service and relationship-building skills.
nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
nGeneral knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical operations.
nAbility to explain automotive repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers.
nASE certification is preferred but not required.
nProfessional appearance and demeanor.
nValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
nAbility to drive cars and trucks, including vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
nAbility to lift and move objects weighing approximately 10–25 pounds.
nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
