Position OverviewService ManagerQuirk is happy to announce that we have an opportunity in our busy service department at the best dealership group! We currently have opportunities for inspired and motivated individuals who have the desire and passion to succeed. Quirk Auto provides sales and service for many vehicles as well as a pre-owned vehicle center. The Service Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department.Key Required Proficiencies:Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet themStrive for harmony and teamworkPrepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service departmentAttend managers meetings as requestedUnderstand, keep up to date with, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-knowHire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staffDirect and schedule the activities of all department employeesProvide technical assistance to employees as neededConduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and concerns of mutual interestMonitor technicians; payroll recordsPreferred Skills:Minimum of one-year supervisory experienceMinimum of three years of experience in an auto repair facilityOutstanding communication skills both verbal and writtenHigh school diploma or the equivalentExcellent supervisory, and managerial skillsAbility to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelinesAll applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner and adhere to company safety rules and policies.Benefits offered:Health, Dental/Vision, 401K, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance and Critical Illness Insurance.
