We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Service-Oriented CNA or PCA to provide daily in-home support to a veteran living independently in Fairfax County. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a client who requires consistent assistance due to significant mobility limitations resulting from a previous surgery. If you’re a compassionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable, professional, and service-oriented CNA or PCA to assist a veteran client who lives alone and experiences severe mobility challenges. The client has extremely limited control of one leg following a surgery several years ago and requires hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility support, and routine personal care.The care professional will provide support during the client's morning wake-up routine and evening bedtime routine, ensuring his safety, comfort, and independence while helping him maintain the highest possible quality of life. Occasional transportation assistance to medical appointments and community outings may also be required.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with morning and evening care routinesProvide respectful personal care and assistance with ADLsAssist with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and toileting as neededSupport safe mobility and transfers throughout the homePrepare light meals and assist with hydrationProvide companionship and social engagementMonitor client well-being and report concerns to the care teamMaintain a safe, clean, and organized environmentProvide occasional transportation to medical appointments and errandsCollaborate with family members and the Always Best Care team to ensure continuity of careQualificationsActive Virginia CNA certification preferred, or experienced PCA with demonstrated caregiving experienceExperience supporting clients with mobility impairments, physical disabilities, or rehabilitation needs preferredStrong transfer and mobility assistance skillsCompassionate, dependable, patient, and professional demeanorPhysical ability to safely assist with mobility-related tasksValid driver's license and reliable vehicleClean driving recordMale caregiver preferred based on client preference and care needsCaregiver BenefitsCompetitive hourly payMileage reimbursement at $0.72/mile for client-related travelPaid training and ongoing professional developmentSupportive team environmentJoin Our Team and Make a Difference in the Lives of Others!Always Best Care of Fairfax is an equal opportunity employer.
