Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to support electric drive wheel loaders and drills across multiple open pit mine sites in the Southwest. This job requires a strong mechanical and electrical skillset to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment. In this role you'll be in the field Monday - Saturday, 10 - 14 hour days.
Key Job Responsibilities
Maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of Komatsu Electric Wheel Loaders and Drills
Able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on heavy equipment
Perform troubleshooting on:
24V and high-voltage systems (up to ~600-700 volts)
Hydraulic systems (leak repair, pressure testing, pump setup)
Maintain and service electric drive wheel loaders and drills
Conduct field repairs at open pit mine sites
Qualifications/Requirements
3+ years of mining or construction equipmentrelated experience
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and manuals.
Must have a demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems common to mining and/or construction equipment
Hold a strong standard for safety and quality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
Drills
Electric wheel loaders (e.g., series)
Equipment formerly branded as LeTourneau
