SUMMARY

The ServiceNow Platform Owner, internally known as Architect V, is responsible for leading the design and delivery of transformational platform implementations. This role will partner directly with IT leadership, ServiceNow developer teams, and business stakeholders to translate organizational imperatives into scalable, value-driven ServiceNow solutions. This is a leadership-focused role that bridges technical excellence with strategic business outcomes and platform health/performance. You will also engage with implementation partners, participate in internal governance boards, and work across IT and business functions to drive platform adoption and sustainable value realization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead end-to-end ServiceNow architecture, solution design, and implementation strategy; own the platform roadmap from discovery through go-live and optimization.

Direct delivery teams (developers, functional analysts, administrators, testers) on complex, multi-module implementations (ITSM, CSM, HRSD, GRC, FSO, etc.); ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and platform governance.

Engage C-suite (CIO, CTO, CFO, business unit leaders), IT leadership (Senior Directors, Directors, Release Train Engineers), and cross-functional business stakeholders to define strategic platform vision, business outcomes, and change management; serve as the trusted technical advisor on ServiceNow strategy and organizational impact.

Define scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture solutions for ServiceNow modules, integrations, and custom applications.

Design platform architecture, data models, integration patterns, and data governance frameworks aligned with client regulatory and operational requirements in partnership with other IT teams.

Collaborate with IT project managers and business analysts to translate business requirements into ServiceNow solution designs and detailed user stories.

Ensure solution alignment with enterprise architecture, business needs, and platform best practices.

Review technical design documents, data models, and integration patterns for quality and compliance.

Lead scope management, risk mitigation, and escalation resolution on complex implementations; drive accountability for schedule, technical quality, and business outcomes.

Partner with IT project managers, implementation partners, developers, and systems integrators; coordinate delivery across internal and external teams to ensure alignment, knowledge transfer, and sustainable handoffs.

Assess existing ServiceNow instances (e.g., CMDB/CSDM health, configuration debt, data model governance, upgrade readiness); recommend remediation and optimization strategies.

Participate in and/or lead governance boards, steering committees, and strategy forums; serve as the primary escalation point for technical strategy, business alignment, and change management decisions.

Develop proof-of-concept demonstrations, technical specifications, and detailed business cases quantifying platform value and organizational outcomes

Coach and mentor junior architects, functional leads, and delivery teams on ServiceNow best practices, design patterns, and implementation methodology
