Set-Up Tech - North Carolina MebaneMebane, North Carolina, United StatesAbout the Job Set-Up Tech - North Carolina MebaneThe Set-Up Tech II is responsible for maintaining optimum daily performance, run efficiency, and repeatability of all Thermoformer and Extruder machinery, equipment, and tools used in the Thermoforming manufacturing process. The Set-Up Tech II performs accurate and efficient mold set-ups and start-ups to maintain high level machine output and utilization. This position also participates in packing, shrink wrapping, and assembly activities.Essential Job FunctionsPerforms all Set-Up Tech I responsibilities.Responsible for monitoring part quality and completing First Article forms.Manages the material system and coordinates silo changes.Monitors mechanical systems for proper operations.Troubleshoots and resolves processing problems as they arise.Monitors scrap and makes necessary process changes to meet department KPIs.Executes and monitors plans and activities based on schedule of priorities.Coordinates activities with various departments to achieve goals and objectives.Accurately completes daily system transactions within AS400 and Mattec systems.Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.Able to understand and demonstrate company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).Understands departments key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.Other duties as needed or required.Additional ResponsibilitiesMaintains good housekeeping standards within work area.Learn duties and responsibilities of the Process Technician II towards future opportunities.Trains employees on job functions as necessary.Wear hairnet while performing job duties.Job DescriptionMust be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.Required QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
