Set-Up Technician IParmatech Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ATW Companies based in Petaluma, CA, is a leading supplier of complex custom manufactured metal components to demanding markets (medical, industrial, defense, aerospace, etc.). Parmatech deploys established and emerging technologies such as Metal Injection Molding (MIM), micro-machining, and 3D Printed Metal (3DPM) to deliver consistent high-quality product. MIM is a low-cost, high-volume manufacturing process producing parts to near net shape, reducing or eliminating the need for secondary and machining operations. 3DPM is cutting edge technology that can deliver concept to prototype in 2 weeks and deliver complex shapes that are not possible with machining, casting or molding. Our goal is to continue our history of success and sustainability in business, culture, and community.The Set-Up Technician I is responsible for set-up and operate molding equipment and machinery in the molding department following industry accepted best practices and company process set-up instructions.Accountabilities:Set-up molding and automation equipment to best industry standards, with an emphasis on safety and housekeeping, and operate equipment to produce acceptable green MIM product as directed.Troubleshoot equipment and process issues for molding and automationRecognize variations from proper equipment/machine performance and seek corrective assistance when other than normal adjustments are requiredAssist production employees in the set-up and operation of workstations when requiredAssist in the set-up of first article molding jobsLook for new methods and techniques to improve processes and quality of products.Assist in development activities to establish methods to produce required finished parts within specification when instructedPerform barrel cleaning operations when changing material on molding machinesInspect machines for wear while disassembled for this operationPerform routine maintenance of equipment, including preventive maintenance and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work areasHigh school diploma or equivalent.Effective English language skills – both written and verbal1+ year of experience in plastic and/or metal injection molding environmentMinimum 1 year of mold machine set-up and maintenance experiencePay Range: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
