We're looking for an experienced CNC machinist who can independently perform machine setups, support prototype work, and contribute to programming as the manufacturing operation continues to grow.This precision manufacturing company produces high-quality machined components for a variety of industrial applications. With planned investments in new equipment, expanded production capacity, and additional shifts, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company during a period of steady growth.Why Work HereJoin a growing manufacturing operation with new equipment and expansion plans.Work on prototype and custom machining projects that require skill and problem-solving.Gain exposure to CNC programming using BobCAD, Fusion 360, and G-code.Opportunity to grow into a CNC Programmer or Lead Machinist role as the company expands.Job Type: this is a Full-Time, Direct Hire opportunity.Setup Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC mills, including bridge mills, for prototype and production machining.Perform complete machine setups, including tooling selection, workholding, fixturing, and machine alignment.Read blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T to produce precision components within specification.Edit existing CNC programs and assist with developing new programs using G-code and CAM software.Inspect finished parts, troubleshoot machining issues, and collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturing processes.Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5 am – 1:30 pmPay: $32.00 – 40.00 an hourSetup Machinist/Programmer Qualifications:3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience independently setting up and operating CNC mills, including tooling, fixturing, workholding, and offsets.Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and interpret GD&T requirements.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience machining stainless steel, mild steel, hard-grade steels, and aluminum.Competitive benefits package includes:100% employer-paid health and vision insurance for employees and qualified dependentsDental Insurance401(k) with Safe Harbor matchingShort Term DisabilityAccident InsurancePaid time off (PTO)Paid Sick TimeLocation: Tualatin, OR - onsiteVerstela is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
