Setup Technician / CNC Machine OperatorLocation: Irwin Pay Rate: $23–$27/hour (Based on Experience) Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM OR 6:30 AM – 3:30 PMJob DescriptionThe Setup Technician / CNC Machine Operator supports production by setting up and operating CNC equipment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with basic familiarity with CNC machinery. Minor programming experience is a plus but not required. This position provides support to machine attendants and entry-level operators to ensure efficient and accurate production.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform tooling setup and changeoversComplete fixture changeovers as requiredRun first-piece parts and perform inspectionsMake minor CNC program edits as neededMonitor machine operations to maintain quality and efficiencySupport machine attendants and entry-level operatorsIdentify and report tooling, machine, or quality issuesMaintain a clean and safe work environmentQualifications & Skills RequiredFamiliarity with CNC machines (lathe or mill)Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnMinor CNC programming knowledge is a plusAbility to use measuring tools for basic inspectionsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong attendance and reliabilityAbility to work in a production environment
