Severe Needs Special Education Paraprofessional at Meadow Ridge Elementary
Under the direction of a licensed teacher, responsible for assisting students with special needs in a variety of academic and social settings and ensuring the students' safety and those with whom they are in contact on a daily basis. Duties also include tutoring students individually and in groups, correcting and grading student classwork, maintaining daily records of student behavior and assisting teacher in preparation of instructional materials and clerical duties.
Location: Lochbuie, CO
Education or formal training:
High school diploma or GED Required
Proof of either an Associate's Degree or 2 years (48 credit hours) at an institute of higher education preferred
General background check and fingerprints required upon hire
Experience:
Technology experience and training preferred
Previous work with severe needs or significant support need students preferred
Benefits/Salary: 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday. Approximately 169 work days per school year. Summers and Holidays off (unpaid). Pay is spread over 12 months. Actual number of work days based on start date.
$18.00 - $21.30 per hour based on the Classifed Pay Schedule. Placement is based on experience.
