Job description
Hours of Work : Variable. Minimum 5 12-hour on-call shifts/month with nightshift availability as needed based on program coverage. Days Of Week : Variable. Work Shift : PRN (United States of America) Job Description : Job Purpose * The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The SANE exam may include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. Job Requirements: Education: * Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred Licenses and/or Certifications:
Valid and Current Texas RN license.
Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the Texas Attorney General office or
Currently in-progress of certification and obtained within 6 months of hire
Current TNCC, or required within 6 months of hire
