Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Shag Driver positions include but are not limited to:
Safely operate shag truck to relocate trailers to and from loading dock and trailer staging area
Strict compliance with Federal, State, and Company guidelines and policies for safety
Maintain trailer movement logs
Organize trailer staging area
Keep loading and staging area clean and free from trash and debris
Maintain shag truck to ensure safe and efficient operations
Keep shag truck and trailers clean and free from trash and debris
Other duties as assigned
This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates for the Shag Driver position should possess the following:
Valid Driver's License
Exemplary safety record (with previous employers)
Ability to read, write and speak English
Previous experience driving a shag truck and/or hauling trailers is preferred but not required
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to climb up into shag truck
Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
Ability to work various shifts and on call as needed
Ability to comply with all safe work practices and procedures
Ability to communicate using two-way radio
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
